Inspired by the designs of renowned French architect Charlotte Perriand, the Asha chair collection combines timeless craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic. Its frame, meticulously crafted from teak, features robust, rounded legs and a gracefully curved backrest that exudes organic elegance. The seat is handwoven from natural Abaca Lorek, an eco-friendly fibre known for its strength and durability, showcasing a stunning four-way cross-webbing pattern in rich, earthy brown tones. Each chair reflects the harmonious blend of nature and artisanal craftsmanship, bringing a sophisticated yet grounded charm to any space.

MATERIALS

Main Finishing: Natural plantation teak with a clear topcoat

Seat Composition: Natural Abaca Lorek in a four-way cross-webbing pattern with a clear lacquer topcoat

Frame Construction: Plantation teak wood

As with any natural material, existing fluids and moisture can leach over time. A natural process of teak involves oil moving to the surface of the teak.

This natural process of teak oil leaching can cause staining; this can be especially evident if the furniture pieces are experiencing exposure to weather elements, particularly rain.

We do not recommend placing this natural timber piece directly onto carpets or rugs. Moisture will generally seep through the ends of the timber. If placing it onto carpets or rugs, markings may be avoided by using a protective liner, such as thick plastic.

None of the above is viewed as a fault; we embrace these changes as the natural characteristics and beauty of timber furniture.  

Natural fibres are sensitive to sunlight, moisture, and humidity, which can cause fading, brittleness, or mould. Keep items indoors or in covered spaces, and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure.

Clean gently with a soft brush or cloth, and always dry thoroughly after wiping.

Avoid harsh cleaners, soaking, or dragging, which can damage the weave.
