Timber naturally reacts to sunlight, moisture, and humidity, which may cause fading, warping, or cracks. Keep in stable, ventilated spaces and use coasters or pads to protect from spills and heat.

Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap, drying thoroughly to prevent water absorption.

Avoid harsh cleaners, soaking, dragging furniture, and reapply oil, wax, or sealant periodically to maintain protection.

Munggur wood is a natural, solid timber - a 'living' material that responds to its environment. Variations in temperature and humidity can cause the timber to expand and contract, sometimes resulting in visible movement or cracks. This is not considered a fault, but rather a natural and expected behaviour of solid wood furniture.

Our munggur pieces are kiln-dried over an extended period to reduce moisture content. However, due to the substantial thickness of the timber used in this design, some internal moisture can remain. During transport, this moisture may rise to the surface, occasionally leaving water blemishes. While we have processes in place to further treat and enhance the finish of each piece once it arrives at our warehouse, the moisture content of solid munggur may still shift, and surface markings or water blemishes may appear. These are part of the organic nature of this material and are considered a normal characteristic of solid munggur wood.

Please note:

• Munggur timber can leach natural fluids over time, potentially causing stains on absorbent surfaces.
• We do not recommend placing this piece directly onto carpets or rugs. If this is unavoidable, we suggest using a protective barrier such as thick plastic or a moisture-resistant mat to minimise potential marking.
• Natural movement through the ends of the timber is most common, where moisture is released most readily.

Each piece of munggur timber is completely unique. You can expect natural variations in tone, grain pattern, veining, knots, cracking, and leaching. Many of our timber ranges proudly showcase these features — they are part of the inherent beauty and individuality of natural wood, not imperfections or defects.
